your missing the point. There have always been 2 options for me for a non immigrant O visa getting here in the UK before going to Thailand. I cant remember at this time the exact classification of non O, thats why i said i will check the embassy site later and put on here. But there was never a medical insurance policy requirement in either of the 2 options i used to use. Last year there was and i was unable to get a non O for that reason. When was the last time you got a non O from the UK graham?
think i was looking at both OA and OX. I had always got the over 50 one many times before over the last 15 years, and never an insurance requirement. But last year it was there for the first time. If i get chance i will check the embassy website later and post it on here.
when i tried to apply for it last year for myself there very definitely was a requirement Graham, that they had just started because of Covid. Thats why i ended up getting a multi entry TR visa.
dont overthink things. Many of the questions are worded in such a way that suggests they want deep meaningful info. They dont, they just want to know you have accomodation and can afford to fund yourself whilst there. When i did my multi entry TR visa last year, i think i supplied pretty much the same info for 3 or 4 of the questions without any issues. Any problems and they will email you.
I even did a multi entry TR application for a friend and they gave him a 1 year non immigrant O over 50 visa without any questions about insurance. The UK embassy is pretty easy to work with.
