if I could add to this...what if I already applied for the multi entry, but would much rather report than re-enter? (Especially since the reporting can be online it seems). Is it possible to change visa types

Do Australian passport holders and their Thai family members go through separate immigration lines at Bangkok airport?

Have had different results. But doesn't hurt to try staying together. But there is a priority lane on the right you should aim for. Ineligibles always use it so it is not clear but it's actually for families.
