could never understand what a reentry permit is if you have a visa. Is it just an extra tax?

Not for me in Chiang Mai either got the OA extension a month early but insurance started on Oct 24th ( start date of extension)

In Thailand on non 'OA'.I will be changing to 'o' based on marriage when borders are open and know how to do this. The question is , when applying, is the original US marriage certificate ok or do I need a certified translation?

The issue isnt how to get a visa, the issue is about whether a US marriage certificate is ok to get the visa based on marriage. Is a lawyers office translation what I'd need for example. I'd never be able to get a thai version from the south carolina issuing authority.

What are my options for extending my O-A visa when Mukdahan immigration does not accept my monthly transfer proof?

If its bkk bank, they keep a record of each tranfer in from overseas. They will print them out if you show them in the savings book which to print.
