If you read this forum regularly you dont need an agent. If you get one get it with the ones that offer refunds if things go bad. I almost did it but than again this visa is easy once you understand the scope and the requirements . Good luck π
Mysteruous sources would not pass the document check mark if you apply as a business owner/ workstation etc. i would save a nice savings account and have this account sponsor me with one of the soft routes. Stay simple im going to thailand to learn how to cook thai food. Why ? I always love the country and the culture. How you plan to achieve this i have savings in this account. End of the story. Good luck π
They prefer the currency to be in usd if YOU ARE APPLYING AT NEIGHBOR COUNTRIES SUCH AS VIETNAM CAMBODIA INDONESIA ETC and the your country does not have a thai embassy. Imagine you are from bolivia and apply at hanoi they will prefer this statement in usd as this was reported by others in this forum. But again you can always explain as of why the account is in a different currency on your cover letter and due to your specific financial profile. Hope this helps π
Anonymous participant 664 wow brother well you can always get a haircut and explain that you might need more sessions as you have less hair. In your specific scenario it may me pause for a second as maybe you do qualify for long treatement and thus the dtv. But for those that want to learn muay thai for a month its harder for me to justify their dtv status in a continous basis
Anonymous participant 664 true now that i see your comment it totally makes sense. I mean i have nothing agaist those that got the visa with those routes but if you want to go to the gym for a month . I would give you a normal visa up to 60 days and keep the dtv fee. I think i have seen some people where this happened to them. They did not get rejected instead they got a different visa
Hanoi is the best post at the moment to apply if you have what they are looking for. I had my wife visa approved and mine in 3 business days one after the other. I would look deep into your application to see if there were other issues beside the name . Once you are rejected this rejection stays in the system and the next agent at the next post can see why you got rejected. If your application remains with the βSAME ISSUEβ i will get rejected indefinetely . Some agencies here have contacts at some posts and they see this info before hand before their clients reapply. Its not like the have magic in their hands. Still if you look carefully and relate your situation with other stories in this blog you could easily figure it out alone. Hope this helps π
agree i really hope to be wrong but i just dont see the DTV with soft routes sustainable in the long run. I dont see nobody wanting to come to Thailand applying for any other visa . Why would they? If the rules are so relax even retirement visas in theory need continous income to remain in effect. This visa just killed all other visas in this sense and thus dont see this sustainable π
when i heard of this visa i really thought this was the only way you could apply for this. Than i decided to apply and saw all this nonsense. If you want to learn how to cook thai food or Muay Thai go with a student visa at least that would be the common sense. I dont see how registering for a month of classes can contribute overall to the thai economy. I think they will close the loophole soon and just limit the scope to just remote workers/business owner etc. As for the people that were given this visa already with any of the soft routes i anticipate an interface where those would need to upload their classes to remain in status for the validity of the visa thus making people pay every for classes 6 months to remain in status. My 2 cents π
