You really think a business class ticket is required for a valid visa entrant along with a 5 star hotel? How often do you open your passport and visa to strangers on arrival and question them on the visa application? How can you hear multiple people being questioned on arrival? I have given a couple of my entry experiences, once asked what my job is that's it. Majority of time is nothing or questions on English football teams

Posts that said business class tickets, expensive hotel bookings help entry are BS. Saying" I saw many arrivals passport info and visas and heard everything what the IO said to them" is BS. The poster often removed the post quickly when the lies are called out

We have been over this. He is not talking about genuine posts of being checked. There are posts albeit less frequent by fearmongers.

One way ticket is fine, insurance is not a requirement for DTVERS.

UK often approves within 7 business days. 500k should be in a personal instant accessible account. Workcation option is best option as you do not need to pay to renew gym membership. Monzo is licensed in the UK so will be ok.

Tks for the update. Which airport did you enter?

That group is focused on DTV, you will find answers to your questions there. Many parents pose similar questions to you.

When you are approved for your DTV you can then apply for son's. You can visit Thailand and then go nearby to apply in Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia etc..Check the main DTV group on FB

Yeah, it is awful, as opening new accounts is limited for non UK residents. Santander International, last month sent letters out saying they are closing accounts unless a deposit of 75k is made or pay 40 quid a month. I moved all my direct debits etc over to Halifax and will end my banking with Santander. Halifax has been very good and open about keeping my account open.
