It'll cost you more in Oz, The rent (if you can get one) is very high $500 Oz plus per week, cost of living is very high, the only advantage you'll have here is that you can work, but who'll want to do that if they want to retire. Thailand is cheaper, but there's heaps of hoops you need to jump, plus they keep changing the goal post, good luck with your choice.

I also use wise to transfer, I also use another app called smartway, I sometimes find they are better than wise for larger amounts.

Can you not have what you need emailed to you and get your new passport or even have it sent out express mail if you need original. Not sure how long a new one will take though.

oh my god, I'm out by a few years and I'm living on the dark side of the moon, regardless if it changed 2 years or 5 year, you can't import a 2nd hand vehicle today the present is where I live not the past or an alternate planet as you might. correct, need to tell IO if asked you have visa you don't want you use it now cause you are leaving then coming back again and want to use it at that time, I just did something similar twice as I flew in than flew out the next day then repeated it again 2 weeks later, was a little hassle on the second one but was ok.
