Hello! I’m a Thai National and my husband is applying for the Non O visa. They require an invitation from me inviting him to my mother’s home in Thailand.

Does it have to be handwritten and in Thai?

Thank you 🙏🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
The invitation letter for a Non O visa does not necessarily have to be handwritten or in Thai. It can be a simple typed letter in English, as long as it clearly states the invitation and includes relevant details. It's advisable to also include identification examples, like a Thai ID and marriage certificate, especially when applying from overseas. Some commenters suggested that letters could be written in the husband's home language if applying from abroad.

How my wife did it. Was like hello me 'your name' invite my husband 'his name' to stay with me from the date he lands kind regards 'your name' and yes I included a photo of her passport along with the marriage certificate. She wrote it in Thai

As Ray said keep it simple no need for short story.

Just need to keep it simple, something like I wish for my husband (his name) to join me in Thailand and then sign and with your name printed and also date it. That's what we do.

Thank you!

I just typed out my letter in English and scanned my Thai ID along with it. Hopefully it’s accepted. Now I’m wondering if it matters if the homeowner is supposed to write the letter. But the address from my ID matches the address he put down when he applied for the visa. We will see I suppose.

no real specification if applying in Thailand. If he's applying overseas in his home country then it's in that language

It needs to be written in your husbands home language
