I don't think so - they even don't accept my Traditional Chinese version of employment certificate - thank god I prepared English and Thai versions as well 🙂
Evisa is under the jurisdiction of MFA; whereas passport control officers are under Thai royal police. They are not related to each other and rarely exchange their data (unless you are a SUPER criminal)
1. 2. no. but if you have such documents, it's better to voluntarily provide to officers as supplementary docs.
3. I just said I love Thailand and wants to stay there to do my full remote work.
4. nope for me. but they will ask you details of your work. DO NOT show any connection between your work and Thailand. your work MUST be 100% IRRELEVANT to Thailand.
6. all the doc should be translated to English.
7. as listed by TTEO's website.
8. stressful to me at least (I'm Taiwanese citizen), but I'm not sure how they deal with foreigners. IMO they best thing is there's not much "undertable" things, "illegal agents" or "applications with fake documents" in Taipei, everything is clear and the standard is fairly consistent compared to other ASEAN consulates.
So now we know 1. TTEO accepts one-month statement
2. Prepare docs as much as possible and present them to officer one by one with clear logic to simplify the process
3. Currently there’s no “under table rules” such as those in Phnom Penh, KL or Vientiane. They treat your application with transparency and consistent standard.
And the last, I think TTEO is a hidden gem for potential applicants - it will never be bombarded by fake documents from mainland chinese applicants ( due to political tensions), so TTEO may stay in its clear mind for a while - until there’s too much applications flooding in.
