, yes, but depending on your visa, the admitted-to-stay date will be updated on your re-entry.

, TiT. By end of the day, everything is up to the officer of the day. However, the method above will work at most immigrations. In other words, there are still alternatives (in most cases) to banked money and monthly transfers into Thailand.

, sure, I don't know the practice of all embassies. The official story was that the embassy had to "guarantee" the income to the Thai authorities. It was stated that an annual tax report didn't guarantee an income. They should also guarantee the income in THB. If the US Embassy had a practice of making an income letter based on whatever ppl reported themselves, then I guess we can thank the US for making the procedure much more complicated :-) Most embassies replied that they could not guarantee the income by any means and especially not in THB. "Guarantee" is a strong word.

, correct. Over the past 5 years, the visa practice (they keep saying not the rules) has been tightened more and more. It makes more and more ppl leaving Thailand. Let's hope things are not being tightened even further... :-)

, as stated, there are several ways to prove your income. Here I am stating another way than the other answers above. Let ppl choose the way they prefer.

You must prove you have money. There are several ways to do that. Before, the embassies confirmed your income based on the annual tax report. Today most embassies don't do this any longer, but most embassies are ready to legalize letters from your pension company, government, and others certifying your income. Most immigrations accept such proof of income.
