What documents do I need to update my registered address in Phuket as a holder of a Non Imm O visa?

Hi there,

I am in Phuket.

I am on a 1yr Non Imm O married to a Thai.

I currently rent but am nearing the end of my lease. My 90 day reporting is all up to date. At the same time I take possession of a new house (to me) for which I will be the Blue Book holder and living in (My wife and daughter will be registered there which they will do at the Amphur)

How documents do I need to produce/fill out to transfer my registered address to the new one?

Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To update your registered address in Phuket while on a Non Imm O visa, you need to visit the Phuket Immigration office. Bring the title deed (chanote) of your new residence and the house book. You must also file a TM30 form, which notifies the authorities of a foreigner residing at a new address. Note that as a foreigner, you won't be listed in the blue book but may be included in a yellow house book.

You go to the Phuket Immigration office with the title deed (chanote) and the house book and file a TM30 (notification of foreigner in residence) form

As a 'regular foreigner' you will NOT be listed in the blue book with your own entry (foreigners without PR status cannot be in blue house books except listed as the father of the child listed in it). You COULD get a yellow house book (the one that foreigners get listed in).

BUT neither of those things are thai visa related.

Just go file a TM30 when you move and you'll be fine.

yep know the book situation - so the TM30 is just copy passport various bits, TM6 chanote and house book copies. Plus probably a photo? Tyvm as ever.

, any benefits from being listed as the father of a child in the blue house book? Just curious as you mention this.

nope, none, it's actually just the child's listing (which has both parents names) and doesn't count for anything at all.

Foreigners get a yellow book..
