Hong Kong is treated the same as China in Thailand. If you had applied for British Passport before 1997 or your parents had then no problem.

It’s easy to do yourself. Take your passport and a copy and your UK driving licence to the DLT at Bang Lamung. Second exit on 7 towards BKK. You also need a certificate of residence or a work permit. Certificate from immigration about 100 baht. Cost is around 380 baht. Legal and legit and in the event of an accident you will be covered. You can also show your licence online in the DLT app

As with everything in Thailand it depends on your immigration office. Send them an email and ask. That way you have something in writing.

3BB if you can get it. If the condo is tied to True you are saddled with them unless you buy AIS portable wifi. 100gb a month 2400baht for the year.

They need to put your address in your licence. I was told if you had a work permit with your address in it or a TM60 receipt you didn’t need the certificate. If you apply they ask for passport, lease for accommodation and letter from landlord. It’s free I think at immigration but around 2500 baht from the embassy.

Just had a comment from a colleague who went to Vientiane for 60 day TR as he was changing schools so needed to do non b again. He applied for 60 day TR and had to prove by bank statements he had sufficient funds.

I have done this a couple of times myself but never had the funding checks. Maybe something new? They did give him a 45 day exempt though.

living here long time I know that what are the rules are usually ignored and yes I haven’t worn a mask anywhere since the edict was published in the Royal Gazette but tourists tend to be caught out and not have the courage or the language skills to argue with an over zealous policeman who sees a vulnerable falang!! I merely pointed out the rules so people are aware.
