Face masks still compulsory on public transport and in crowded places !!

There were a lot of hotels just issuing receipts to get around covid regulations I think. The tax number is so they can check if the hotel owner paid the tax and if not why not.

I did the same a few years back but had trouble checking in at the airport. It was only when the Thai Airways rep came to the desk I was able to complete check in. It might be worthwhile seeing if you can get a tourist visa from the Embassy so you can show this to the check in monkey.

Thailand is a place where money is King. The idea is that you put 800k in a Thai bank (with no safeguards if the bank goes under). Bit by bit they will get it out of you and should it not be available then you will soon go home. A friend of mine had 800k plus 12k he had earned in interest in Bangkok Bank. When he died the medical costs amazingly came to 795k and the funeral and other costs came to 17k. How lucky he had the exact amount in his account !!!!!

ok then as said she should go to another EU embassy and ask for a Schengen visa Bulgaria is pretty quick or Italy. Book a pay on arrival hotel in Italy and then you can meet her there. I used to do that. You won’t get a visa for UK sadly at present.

I have done that before and the response was “You don’t look Thai people”. I am going to try that in London when I get to passport control to anyone in the British passport queue that doesn’t look English!!!

If you want to take her to Poland then I don’t think that will be an issue under Schengen. If you want to bring her to the UK rather than your home country then she will be treated the same as any other Thai.
