why would a bankruptcy show up on a person's criminal record ?

Bankruptcy isn't a crime nor a misdemeanor

It's a financial option with court approval.

Like a divorce.

US Embassies are for parties and fronts for Intel Agencies.

Been in Thailand over 20 years. Embassy does Zero for expats.

Get your 1st yr behind you, then all is fine.

Thai Immig just follows rules. US is only getting worse.

US Embassy stopped notorizing income statements some years ago.

Either 800k in Thai Bank

65k / mo in Thai Bank

Or combination of both equaling equaling 800k/ year.

If problem with the 800k supplement with DD / mo to equal it.

Because of time required to have income or nested funds in bank,

you may need an agent for 1st year.

was long ago, but I just used my US licence.

I believe IDP were required for non-english speaking countries.

Don't know why.

Ya, I know John, have been dealing with ( quite amicably ) IO for over 20 years. Occassionally a pain due to staffing but for the most part, no problem. Occassionally my prob, once in a while just misunderstanding.I like the new system .

Hell, its once a year, coffee shop ok, always bump into old friends.

after my 1st licence ( was for 1 year ). Got 2nd, was for 10 years..now any renewal is 5 years.
