visa has to be printed, that’s rule. Don’t rely on agent mood. stick to the rule. Also what if you loose your phone / stops working.

You can use agent, or you can also do it at post with registered mail if your address won’t change (they’ll send back the paper to your address). Reportedly costs 70-80 baht with Ems tracking. Keep copy of everything, process and address is on immigration website

I explained in a comment that insurances mostly have exclusion if insured person is staying illegally, which will be the case with the kid overstaying

its actually wrong. As law has not been changed after introduction of DTV visa, and the introduction of DTV visa royal gazette announcement does not give specific information about foreign company / etc, it means any type of visa including tourist visa (DTV is a tourist visa) can work remotely as long as it does not have anything to do with a Thai business or customers.
