If I apply for the soft power option, then can I still work remotely as a freelancer LEGALLY? Just wondering because the soft power version seems easier to get.
Some people have been asked for their job at the airport. Would that be a weird situation with soft power option? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
Applying for the soft power visa in Thailand allows for remote freelance work as long as the clients are not based in Thailand. Users emphasized that working for foreign companies or clients is legal, and to ensure compliance, it is advised to consult the Thai embassy for specific regulations.
its actually wrong. As law has not been changed after introduction of DTV visa, and the introduction of DTV visa royal gazette announcement does not give specific information about foreign company / etc, it means any type of visa including tourist visa (DTV is a tourist visa) can work remotely as long as it does not have anything to do with a Thai business or customers.
thats what we talking about the first place he/she asked if gat the DTV based on soft power. After you got the visa its not show its on soft power or remote work its just show DTV visa
you can not do freelance work with a soft power DTV. Only a few visas allow you to work as remote worker in Thailand such as LTR. But this is not enforced.
why is it then officially called Workcation? :D but i think thai authorities dont consider remote work „work“ as long as it doesn’t involve thai entities.
