Our easiest bounce is Mae Sot. New to Chiang mai and this is what I have been told at any rate. The HR lady syas she can convert an exempt into an ed Visa easily as we have our own Visas and dont need to piggy back him. Was just going to drive up, cross and return unless anybody advised otherwise.

I don't have a letter from my embassy. Family organized my new passport. Should I just pop into immigration to be safe?Or can i stamp out on my old passport and come back in on a new one?

I appreciate that. I think this was the answer that I expected. I will move some stuff around and just get it done properly.

unfortunately not. All the documents i had got from the school in Thailand were just emailed to me. They said this was fine and all I need. However the embassy said they need all the original documents to be sent by physical mail. Not sure if this is guangzhou being picky or the schools fault. Either way we have to much in process to wait so just Coming in on tourist visas and will figure it out later
