TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in China is inquiring about the processing time for a NON-B immigrant visa at the embassy, specifically mentioning they are applying for a teaching position with a Canadian passport. Responses from the community indicate that processing typically takes 3 to 4 days, particularly at the Guangzhou consulate. There is limited information on visa processing for non-Chinese applicants, but most consulates are thought to operate by having applicants drop off their paperwork in the morning and pick it up the next day.

unfortunately not. All the documents i had got from the school in Thailand were just emailed to me. They said this was fine and all I need. However the embassy said they need all the original documents to be sent by physical mail. Not sure if this is guangzhou being picky or the schools fault. Either way we have to much in process to wait so just Coming in on tourist visas and will figure it out later

there are not many reports of people (other than chinese) getting their thai visas from the consulates in china, so I have no idea at all about it. If I was to guess I'd say they're like most consulates and you drop the application off one morning and pick it up the next afternoon but I'd only be guessing.
