Might be a silly question but here goes. Asked my landlord to register me with immigration TM30 I think it is. Sent him my information and he said he has done it. How can I confirm that it's been done? Apparently he did it online via the immigration website. Thanks for any advice and sorry if it's a silly question.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To confirm if your landlord has completed your TM30 registration, you can request a printout or screenshot of the registration as proof. It's advisable to ask for a receipt of the registration to avoid future issues. Additionally, ensure that the document stays with your passport as it's an important part of your immigration paperwork.

there is NO print function, so all they can do is take a screen shot of the information page that shows your data entered in the system and print that screen.

In chiang mai you can take that screen grab to the 3rd floor of the immigration office by the airport and they'll print you a real TM.30 receipt if you want.

The screen grab is FINE for proving you did have a TM.30 filed

You are better off requesting for the receipt. Then you don’t have to trouble them ever again

I'm using the print screen and whenever someone would doubt it I can simply retrieve it online and they could see I'm registered at their webpage.

AFAIK, you don't need it for an extension of stay in Bangkok. You would only need it when switching from say, visa-exempt to Non-O, or whatever. While it can't hurt to have it in hand, it's probably fair to say that far more people don't do it in Bangkok than do (for how long remains to be seen)

AS far as I understood from the posts of

you do not need this tm 30 for a 60 day Extension of Stay. But I tagged him to confirm or tell me: You are wrong.

And where are you applying for this Extension of Stay?

I'm assuming I need this document when I go to extend non o based on me having a Thai child. I'm currently on the 90 day non o. When I go extend that by another 60 days I'm assuming this will be part of the large amount of paperwork needed. I'm just trying to get all my ducks in a row as my landlord works in Chiang Mai and is not easy to get hold of...

The online confirmation is not meant to be printed out.

Riddles, when was last time and who you asked and where you got it?

@Barry *****
OK. I will have a chat to my landlord. Ridiculous they insist this gets done but they give no sure way of printing confirmation if done online....
Barry ******
No idea, the last time I asked for that receipt I got it as a receipt.

Which is handy because you can update it yourself later.

OK thanks. Can this be printed when done online?

@Barry *****
You can print this when using the TM 30 On-line registration?
Barry ******
Just ask for this to be safe. The online print screen is not accepted as proof that it’s done other than your own records.

Better to have the receipt than wonder about it.
