I entered from USA on SETV, converted to 90 day non O retirement, then got 1 year extension. 800K in Thai bank. Not sure if both of you need that amount or if wife can be dependent spouse. No police or doctor clearance needed. 90 day reporting required. Possible to use 65k/month pension, each??

65k yes. I actually used money in bank method anyway. I was approved as above, 3 visits. Not wrong that’s how it was fir me. Your experience may be different.?

You can come on a tourist visa or visa exempt entry. Convert that to 90 day non-O retirement. You will need the ฿800K in Thai bank, or possibly can use verified retirement income ฿60,000/month, verification of residence from embassy or immigration, condo or house contract, but no medical or police check. They will hold for 2 weeks consideration, may visit your home. Then when it’s near to 90 days, and your money has been in Thai bank for 60 days, you go to immigration and get 1 year extension, with 90 days reporting needed, and re-entry permits if you leave Thailand during your stay.
