Employment in Thailand is strictly prohibited.

actually at this point this visa targets "soft" programs.

So it is not regulated at all.

Because this is aimed at leisure tourists and not education like an ED, there is no guidelines.

This may change and a registry of some sort may come in the future of approved programs.

But as of now it's a free for all.

As long they feel it looks like a legit school or training program it will likely be approved.

Depending on the embassy you want to apply at, a contract with a reputable Muay Thai Gym/School may be enough.

Embassy have their own qualifications and right now it is the easiest to get it will ever be.

No one can say, apply and find out.

You do know that is not an official website or test.

In most locations you will only need the money in for 1 day when applying for the initial 90 day non-o based on retirement.

Then the 800k needs to be seasoned for 2 mths before applying for the 1 yr extension.

** only a couple that have been mentioned need it seasoned before the visa**

You can "own" a business as a partner, you can oversea but not work.

If you want to "work it" you will need a non-b visa, and a professional to handle the ins and outs.

This is a minefield if you are not familiar with Thailand business.

For many new expats its simply:

How to make a small fortune in Thailand- START with a large one.

yes you need only to prove the 500k at application and reason for the visa.

Remote worker , programs etc.

At this point you only need to prove the funds once, just like a 1YR OA VISA, multientry and can be stretched to almost 2 yrs with bounces.

But if you extend in country you need to meet the criteria again.

It is a bit of a too good to be true scenario right now.

My opinion is that there will be changes, but for those that get one now it's golden.

**THERE are varying reports from different embassies on how to prove the funds and requirements, this embassy specific.

Embassies and immigration are 2 separate things.

The embassy grants the visa.

The rules for the visa

entry are under immigration.

So each embassy will decide what you need to get it.

yes as long as you bounce out and back.

Only the extensions cost.

It's the same principle as any multientry visa.

And I suggest anyone thinking about it to apply right away.

**and it's not a large saving, for example a non-o is 2000b fir the original visa then 1900b for yearly renewal.

So for 5 years it's would be

what kind of nonsense are you saying?

There is no such thing as reactivation.

If you leave the country and renter you are simply stamped back in for 180 days. No cost.

It is a "multientry" visa.

To extend incountry for another 180 days, you will have to provide proof of funds and possible ongoing activities.

The fee for the extension is currently set at 10k, it is unclear if this will actually be the case as we are months from anyone extending.
@Stu***
is correct.
