link me the news. we will see if it was for REMOTE work for a NON-THAI entity. people that get in trouble usualy did local work. ;) online teachers, hair dressers and such…
correct. and not yours either… yet we can see the facts. the reality. not a single report about anyone having problems working remotely under any of these visa. in the past there even have been officials saying that its perfectly fine. now with the TAT you see the same. its pretty evident what is okay and what is not
I said it many times. Remote work for a non-thai entity isnt seen as work / employment for thai authorities. that has been stated many times. even the DTV says „employment prohibited“. yet disbelievers allways ask for law texts 😅 in reality not a single reported case of a remote worker having trouble working under exemption, TR, ED, Elite, Marriage, Retirement visa, etc… because it is okay to do so and allways was. How would someone on a marriage visa even do it? or elite? lol… of course you can work remotely and not face any problems.
Anonymer Teilnehmer extensions need all documents and proof again and more… freshly dated. so you would need to border run every 180 days to prevent further checks. but things can change in the future
Anonymer Teilnehmer DTV allows you 5 years of coming and going as much as you want. no limitations (besides the 180 days + extension). visa exemption or tourist visa limits you to a few months per year (no hard limit but often problems with 2+ border runs)
90 day report only needs your passport and a TM30 registration by your landlord for the place where you stay (its done online by the landlord / accommodation)
180 days you either do another 90 day report AND extension of your stay. then you will need all documents with a fresh date again. most people just do a border runn/ travel, to get a new 180 day stamp and not provide any documents again.
so no, you dont need financial proof again if you not do the extension in country.
Many people tell you anecdotes from the past where it was possible to spend years on visa exemption with border runs. But things have changed in recent years. a second border run can allready be your end.
okay then answer this: how many retirement visa holders have been asked to show proof of their 800k baht in the bank when entering the country? how many marriage visa holders have been asked? you never ever read such stories. because its not happening.
Just get a very general certificate of employment that states remote work. it doesnt even have to specify thailand or how many days. this will be enough for the embassy.
