A cheap Charlie initial trick would be to take some ibuprofen or other inflammatory medicine regularly for one or two weeks as it might be an inflammation problem, then go down the more expensive options. I have a history of back problems and it usually works.

My business is trading crypto currencies so it will make alot more money in Bitcoin etc than in a Thai bank account

They said I don't need to deposit the 800k, so I can keep the money in the UK or in my business making money instead of stuck in a Thai bank account

I read a fixer can deal with the 800k deposit for you.

So i went to several agents in Pattaya and they were offering the same deal. The retirement visa fees were going to be an extra 10k

Can foreigners get mortgages in Thailand, or is it better to buy with cash or rent long-term?

Im a buyer and definitely not a renter, but realised recently property can be very difficult to sell in Thailand due to over supply.

I would probably say therefore that maybe you rent first until you're definitely sure you will settle there and find the area that you want then buy
