Hi Tom I see you are in the UK so same starting point as me The difference being I went for the 90day non o based on marriage then extended to one year and in will be looking to repeat the process of 1 year extentions

If you go on the Thai gov website they have a list of all available visas, who they are best suited to and documentation required Once you decide what you need there are links to get you to the required application. It really is that easy (it had to be for me to do it) if part way through and you get stumped you have a personal I'd number so when you get back to it you don't start at the beginning again

It's quick and inexpensive

I did it all on line Yes you need a few documents but download the list from Thai immigration and prepare before you start. If you do it on line and find you are short of a doc you have a unique tracking number so you can go get the doc then carry on where you left off

I found it hassle free and easy and I'm pretty basic when it comes to computers

I think it took about 2 weeks to receive once application was in

Viber is pretty good and reliable Both ends need it on their phone but it's a free download I do Thai to UK all the time with no issues

I made a point of going in early on the first extension just incase something was amiss I still had time to rectify the error All was good and I got stamped in

Here an idea split it and open two types of isa 20,000 in each at 6% to start with Don't tell them your going to live abroad it just makes things confusing At the moment a 1 year isa will pay better than a 2 year fixed rate

A great source of infomation is the Thai govt website It has a list of all visas available.,conditions needed to apply and who they are best suited for It can be a little tricky to navigation at first but one found it let's you see what may be the best option for you
