Can I apply for a new 1-year retirement visa in Thailand if my current passport and visa are about to expire?

Hey Paul good luck with your passport. I'm in khon kaen also and had to get my new U.S. passport not to long ago. I sent the application and everything Thai post to the embassy. They did a great job getting my new passport back to me. Took about 2 months to get back my new passport. After I just took my old and new passbook to khon kaen immigration and they transferred all the visa info from my old to my new passbook. I got my 1 yr extension renewal coming up in February fun fun 🙄lolll

Do I need to report a change of address immediately after receiving my first 1-year extension or wait until my next extension is due?

I've always tried to put my change of address as soon as possible within a week with no issues and I've moved 3 times in 2024 all in the khon kaen area. Better safe than sorry is my Motto😃
