Congratulations and well done. Did you get any clear answers on what you did wrong in your initial work application? This could be useful to know for the rest of the group
90 day reports are still required as far as I know. But they used to be a way of doing this online. You can check if it’s still working is often never working.
There is a YouTube video. I think it’s a German guy that you can check out. He explains how he got his Bangkok Bank. He will help you out I’m sure. Some thing like Bank staff getting trained about Constantly changing obscure Visas that a handful of foreigners may show them in any branch may take a while, I’m sure most of the staff don’t even know what it is yet.
I think the worrying thing is probably whilst you will be granted a five-year visa when you exit the country and try to get back in let’s say in two years from now or whenever, I don’t think a letter or proof of income from two years ago would possibly still be valid so they may require further documents and further checks moving forward. Of course, they won’t say this until everyone is in the club, Then they can move the goalposts, so it’s worth thinking forwards, and possibly looking towards getting fully digital nomad papers.
That’s fantastic would you mind sharing what school and how you went about to get this Visa I would really like to do something like this. I am in the UK I’m not sure if it would be easy here. What embassy did you do it that please?
Yes you can but if you are in Thailand for more than 180 days, you will then have to report taxes even if you are in a double treaty, you will still have to register and do some paperwork I believe, Unless you only stay in Thailand for 180 days or less per calendar year. This will also apply to retirees and pretty much everybody, However, how this is enforced will be another story
Congratulations I would love to know how I can get these documents also. Did they require any further documents for the company that has granted you permission to work remotely or did you print them out yourself?
