i'm not an Immigration officer in Thailand, neither is anyone else in this group I assume.
Buuut, I would bet that it doesn't present a problem because it is still your passport number just with the added 'checksum' (a technical term you don't need to be concerned about).
Especially since it was issued by the Thai Embassy and they should know what they do. If you are overly worried just ask them again. 🙃
Do we know how that proof actually works. As in, have those who got accepted stated somewhere here, what proof was accepted?
The reason I'm asking is that I would have to fly to a different country to apply for the DTV and I just want to make sure everything's going to be smooth. 🙈
be aware that there are some exceptions. In Japan you have to be a citizen or a permanent resident. You cannot apply if you are a tourist even if you walk in in person. I thought about doing that during my Japan trip but I found out that the embassies says no. :(
yeah that makes a big difference. I keep my money invested in working for me and not on my personal bank account. I can transfer whatever money they want to see on my personal bank account for my company bank account tomorrow and show it but it's obviously not a regular income. 🙈
