Hi, wanted to share my experience applying for a Destination Thailand Visa, DTV online at the Munich Thai Consulate. The visa got appreoved today.

I applyed early September. Besides the normal documents I uploaded a copy of my Gewerbeanmeldung (business registration) and a recent statement of my fonds depot.

The first was accepted promtly, the later was rejected. They wanted a bank statement showing at least 12,500€ on the account. After it took me a few days to put the wanted amount into my account, I provided the statement. After that it took about another 1 and 1/2 weeks until the visa was finally approved.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shared their experience applying for a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) online at the Munich Thai Consulate. They applied in early September, required to submit documents including a Gewerbeanmeldung, which was accepted, but their initial bank statement was rejected. They needed to deposit at least €12,500 to meet the criteria. After providing the necessary documents, their visa was approved approximately 1.5 weeks later.

Did they want to see any regular income or a certain amount of money on your bank account over a certain period of time?

Or is it really just about having that amount of money in your account while applying?

I usually keep my money inside my company to use and reinvest it. That's why I'm asking. I'm paying myself very irregularly. 🤣

they only wanted a certain amount of money at one time. In my oppinion no smart entrepreneur keeps more than 10K in a normal bank account. But - that is what they wanted. A stock-depot report was not accepted

I hope the Thai Embassy in Taiwan has the same opinion because I am already in Asia and don't want to fly back to Germany. 🤣

Haven't been there in almost ten years. Lol

my thoughts exactly. I never have more than 10k in my personal bank account. It's all invested but can easily be put onto the account to show it's there. But for some visas you have to show a regular salary over three to six months, that's why I'm asking. Glad to hear that in this case it's only the current state of the bank account. 😍

dear members. Please remember this post is about eVisa application through the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Munich, Germany. Detailed requirements may vary by embassy/consulate. Unless you are applying to the same consulate, do not comment question.
