For those thinking about applying for the DTV in Taiwan, here is an up to date statement (received 5min ago).

The link in there is the one you probably already know if you researched Taiwan:

So it's still a walk-in, no appointment kind of thing. ๐Ÿ‘

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent updates indicate that the application process for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) in Taiwan remains a walk-in service, allowing applicants to apply without a prior appointment. Additional inquiries include the possibility of using a sponsor letter instead of showing a bank balance of 500,000 baht, and whether the visa can be issued on the same day.

So you get the visa that same day?

that's what it sounds like. But I haven't applied yet so I can't speak from experience.

Hi. So a sponsor letter can be done in place of showing 500k baht? From anyone? Or someone from Thailand?

be very careful with trying that... have not seen any reported success using a sponsor letter. Relationship of sponsor to the applicant likely a key.

I would ask the embassy you or planning to apply to directly. Only they will be able to tell you for certain.

I would assume it doesn't matter where the sponsor is as long as they can give you the money.
