During Covid, hotels and government gave huge discount possibilities to Thai Citizens, today it became prices policy, the idea of this law is to come back to previous price (before Covid) but only for the tourists, Thia citizen can still have the discounted prices. Of course this is subject to hotel owner and how they will play with this statement π
I have my annual insurance who issue, upon my demand) a documents which saying exactly that, I sent through the Thaipass app and got my QR code in half day, so yes it is OK (maybe just ask them to put the amount in USD to be sure)
You maybe don't need but you can do, I did it twondays ago (with 1 month delay) without any problem and I have 90 days more, I prefer prevention than staying in doubt π
This article is not really true, many countries in Europ will remain close till at least September for tourist such as Italy or Spain, so Thailand is not at all an exception. And whatever, this summer cession is already down, nobody want to make a big holiday trip in the next weeks, better to stay close home to avoid any quarantine or problem if there is a second wave... That is hard for economy but unfortunately the reality, all my thoughts and thinking for the poeple strongly impactedππππ stay strong, better days are coming....
