The discussion centers around the impact of COVID-19 on Thailand's tourism sector and potential reopening timelines. Participants express mixed feelings about the reopening, citing the need for tourists and the dire economic situation, while also voicing concerns about health risks and the feasibility of travel in a pandemic environment. Many predict a gradual return of tourists, particularly from China, and emphasize the importance of cautious approaches to border reopening.

Even if you donβt have to ware a face mask, better to stay in the UK
Personally Iβm not paying thousands of £££££ to travel to Thailand to wear a face mask or can not have a beer or go to a restaurant with my wife Iβll stay in the UK and save my money until this nonsense is over with
itβs pretty widely known a vaccine from Oxford UK π¬π§ are introducing a vaccine in different stages in the UK π¬π§ and probably the world π so time will tell πππ¬π§
But it has just started to go up again in the North East above factor 1. South Korean has just started a 2and wave. Let hold on yet before we say it has all gone.

Even better news thanks π for the message ππ
This article is not really true, many countries in Europ will remain close till at least September for tourist such as Italy or Spain, so Thailand is not at all an exception. And whatever, this summer cession is already down, nobody want to make a big holiday trip in the next weeks, better to stay close home to avoid any quarantine or problem if there is a second wave... That is hard for economy but unfortunately the reality, all my thoughts and thinking for the poeple strongly impactedππππ stay strong, better days are coming....

If you have been here 20 years then you will know the Thais do not hold in high regard sex tourism and see such as Pattaya as in Bangkok before a tourism model. The Covid has done what the government could not. Do you really think the thais are suffering up north east. They would like to see it continue on lockdown. It is not affecting them at all. In fact they like it. No noise at night. No booze or fags. What do they need with planes. They are not even missing the transport. If you think you understand culture. Start again. We all have done that and never been right.

Thailand seems to have done well containing covid19... And must be careful how they move forward... But with 7 million and up without work and no money from tourism you can see how the government will angle the opening of borders.. 13 to 17 per cent of the economy is a lot to lose... China will come of course.. Then later Indians.. And the falang... The tourists are sorely missed... Wonder will it be the same... Hope so...

I doubt that will be many tourists anyway. Who wants to sit crammed together on a plane for hours these days?

βThailand's good standing in the face of the crisis with China, along with strong pent-up demand, make it a logical short-term solution for overseas tourism to return to the Kingdom." I predict Thailand will open to Chinese tourists in August 2020. Everyone else? Thailand doesnβt care π. Oh, right, fourth quarter, so October maybe. Maybe.
