DTV_Begpacker It was another Thai feck about. At first they woukd do nothing as wanted WP as well as passport. I had a Thai with me who said that was just stupid. She went over to next tower and got copies of WP from company office. Nope, wanted the WP book. In the end I took the ATM card and withdrew every Baht and went back in the bank and gave it back. I then got on Skytrain one stop to Emporium and bought a Naim Muso2 with the rebate. Used daily :-(
After 90 consecutive days in Thailand you need to do the TM47 which is known as the 90 Day Report. You need to do this in person at an immigration office. Online is only for subsequent reports after the first if you also remained in country.
Easiest is just to get an accountant to do it for you. I seem to remebwr all I handed over was Passportand WP. As you say language issues at some and to be honest some want to avoid dealing with foreigners if not an everyday thing lol
DTV_Begpacker Thai tax refunds do not go to your own bank account. At least they did not back in 2021 when I got one. They use a certain bank and you have to go to that one with the cheque and mess around. Eventually they gave me an ATM card with the amount of the rebate on it.
Company registration docs with companies house. Tax returns. Letter from yourself as owner/director to yourself as employee stating you can work remotely from Thailand and you will not be conducting any business with Thais or Thai legally entities or anyone else in Thailand.
There is a minimum amount of money required to enter Thailand. It is also a fact it is almost unknown to be asked for. What looks like has happened in this case the requirements have come up on the check in clerks screen at check in and she has asked for them. The requirements are entered by back office staff and are sometimes inaccurate too or out of date. Certain passport holders are also more likely to be asked regarding certain requirements.
Yes, difficult to get over a year from a Thai bank. Immigration in country recently let me off with just a years statement recently but I should have had 15 months.
