Slightly off topic but relevant to last post about the interest. Does anyone know of high interest accounts that don't require residence in ones country of origin or at least where one has his / her main bank account?

I hv a high interest account in the uk, but the rules state I have to reside there in the uk. I was economical with the truth and hope they don't find out I'm here in Thailand long term now, as technically they could close my account....

and it's getting worse.... and you only have a week to sort the bank account, otherwise your 2 month 800k in thai bank stipulation is fooked....not to mention 800k in uk bank at 5% interest! I chose the agency.....

The 800k is for 2 months before and 3 months after. In between that it can drop to 400k. You can combine. Or use agent....

60 days before and 90 days after. So u gotta come on a 60 day TV. Do it immediately and get the 3 month o visa bit before the 12 month retirement visa bit kicks in. It is possible.

Weirdly the other day I git a taxi from Bali Hai to my place in Pratumnak and the guy wanted 80, I know its 50 and said so in Thai, then I said ok and when I got there he charged me 60!
