yes I just bring older phones that the provider must unlock after 12-24months. I use the older phone for Thai sim, transfer over some well used apps (can have dual accounts for WhatsApps etc, then I hotspot to UK phone/sim when I have to. I don't always take out my UK phone now, just leave it at home, which removes the risk of loss or damage. If you have both Sims in a single phone, and lose phones like I do, your in for trouble.

I think this route, BKK - USM, must be one of the most lucrative in aviation history. Since 1989, they've been having people's eyes out, 365 days a year. But it's ok, as they give you lounge access, Cheese sandwiches, coffee out of a vending Machine, popcorn and free wi-fi. And have you been in the gentleman's room in Samui airport ? That fishtank will take anyone's mind off the 400% premium they have just paid for their flight 🤣. No doubt there was never a concern for Bangkok Airways going bust during Covid. 12 flights a day. Regularly sold out. 5000+ baht a seat. 670 miles to BKK 🤠. So they're concern is getting those bums on seats and that flight up in the air without a hitch, rather than weighing hand luggage.

not strictly true. They were allowed to apply for COE same as everyone else, granted on a case by case basis, using the same criteria, if they had immediate family and dependants.
