On my next trip I was considering not flying my last leg of the trip- my ticket goes to Chiang Rai through BKK. Normally this wouldn't matter because I need to collect my bags in BKK and recheck anyway. But this time my ticket seems to be different and I believe my bag will go all the way to Chiang Rai. Anyone ever been in this situation? Can I pickup my bag the next day or something?

Hi! I’m flying from Chiang Mai to Koh Samui this weekend via Bangkok Airways. We’ve read that the carry on luggage limit is only 5 kg which seems impossible since my carry on luggage itself weighs 3.15 kg. Has anyone had any experience recently where they haven’t weighed your carry on? Seems very unrealistic!! (They do allow 1 checked bag weighing 20 kgs)

Planning to fly from Phuket to Chiang Mai later this month, but all flights pass through Bangkok, and some of the flights are self-transfer (i.e. we have to exit the gate and then check back in/pass through security again in Bangkok). Does anyone know if there will be any chance of being stopped from proceeding to Chiang Mai due to covid travel restrictions? Is there any chance we would be forced to quarantine in Chiang Mai?
