The website I’m speaking of seems to be legit and I’ve seen several people say they’ve used them no problem. But the $16 ghost ticket is only valid for about 48 hours and most people use them to get on the international flight from their home country. Yes, there are inexpensive ticket to nearby countries and I think that’s what I’m going to do after all. Mainly because I’m trying to apply online for a visa and it’s likely they won’t process the application until after the ticket has become invalid.
I thought the same thing until I read more on the website. Since they pull info of real flights you have the option to actually purchase the flight through them. I sent them an email asking if it would be any cheaper than going through an airline directly and they wrote back saying it’s likely cheaper to go through the airline.
I’m going to be starting the application online for the Non-O and if it all works out I’ll definitely be posting my experience. Though I Know it could be different based on the country and specific embassy applied through.
It’s crazy the amount of info we can gather from the internet! I try to find things out on my own but sometimes, like in the case of my question here, it’s not always easy to get an answer to specific question. I appreciate your feedback and answer to my post.
Did you get this done for the purposes of the marriage visa? I just ordered a copy of our marriage certificate from California thinking that’s all we needed.
Well, we were both planning on applying in Thailand for the Non-O and each meeting the financial requirements. But I watched something that caused me to ask this question. It sounds like it may be a little more involved to try and do the visa holder/dependent method. Plus, I’d have to request a marriage certificate and pay for that so it just seems like added hassles and expense.
