Did you get this done for the purposes of the marriage visa? I just ordered a copy of our marriage certificate from California thinking that’s all we needed.

Was this to try getting the marriage visa? Where one of you gets the visa and the spouse is considered the dependent or trailing visa holder?

Well, we were both planning on applying in Thailand for the Non-O and each meeting the financial requirements. But I watched something that caused me to ask this question. It sounds like it may be a little more involved to try and do the visa holder/dependent method. Plus, I’d have to request a marriage certificate and pay for that so it just seems like added hassles and expense.

How long ago was this? And did you have to provide a marriage certificate or proof of health insurance coverage for 90 days?

If I’m reading the info on the embassy and e-visa sites correctly, is the Non-O visa ONLY for people 50 and over who have monthly income (pension) in addition to the 800,000 baht? Has anyone that doesn’t have a monthly pension but sufficient funds in the bank successfully applied and been approved for a Non-O?

Just when I thought I had it all figured out, I suddenly have more questions!
