If you have marriage certificate with you, can you extend another 60 days for visit Thai family yes even after the 30 day extension.

Yes you can convert your visa extempt to o cost 2000 baht or something

Recommend talking with your immigration office then here. And they will gladly assist you futher

the stories are for people with extended travel history into the country, is it your first time coming to Thailand? Then you have nothing to worry about as Jan said in comments show your exit flight in 8 days if asked for it. Enjoy 😊

1. I think it's only retirement visa at you just write down your flight without booking but unsure.

2. You can book a hotel that's have free cancelation, so when you get DTV you can cancel that stay.

I have to agree with what Brandon says, either you meet an IO with a good hair day or not.

Are you over 50 you can apply non-oa based on retirement, if under maybe invest in a tourist visa and have what you need. Booking, 20k and an exit flight.
