I'm an American married to a Thai. I was married in USA. I want to register my marriage. Can I just have my marriage certificate translated and will that be accepted along with other documents. Immigration can't seem to give me an absolute answer. I been to 2 different locations and still don't know. Has anyone used a certified translated marriage certificate for proof from Thailand? Some people say I need certification from my home country embassy which since I'm in Thailand isn't possible.
Does anybody have experience with the Legalization DivisionDepartment of Consular Affairs Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Chaeng Watthana Road? I need some translations legalized and while they have an online reservation system, the U.S. embassy states that they also accept walk ins.
I was planning to go Thailand for about 4 days for leisure reasons. However, because I'm just a student & I do not have the income on my own for the trip, my family members are willing to sponsor my trip. The requirements were to submit a proof of relationship to the account holder who will sponsor my trip, in which initially they asked me to submit a birth certificate certification with the Nepal Embassy in Singapore.
I managed to get a certification from the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok as there is no Nepal Embassy in Singapore, but when i submitted that document as proof alongside with my own birth certificate, they asked me to certify it with MOFA thailand or the Nepal Embassy in Singapore.
Is there anyway I can contact MOFA Thailand fast? Or is there anyone I'm able to contact directly who can help with the process?
Has anyone needed an affadavit certifying a marriage certificate? (working on Kor Ror 22 as we were married outside of Thailand.)
I am being told I need to certify our marriage cert, but on the US Embassy site, it says that they don't do that. In this case I should do a signed affidavit, but what should I write on the document - that our document is legitimate? Or that I am married to ____.
