When is the correct time to apply for a visa extension in Thailand?
When is correct time to apply extension on your visa, day you supposed to travel out or the day before?

The extension is added on to your current admitted until date and doesn't start on the day it's issues so no need to wait till last minute

Aaah thank you for the information 😁so it doesn't matter when I go to immigration they will add that automatically so it adds up to 90Stuart *********
Depends on the office you are using. Some like Bangkok or Chiang Mai allow 45 days prior to your entry stamp expiring. Most allow 30 days. Some like Samui or Jomtiem will not process an extension less than 7 days.

In general you can apply for an extension at most immigration offices when you have 30 days or less left.
Waiting until you're on the last day or the day before is a terrible idea.

then the 30 day rule still applies at most offices. But for tourism extension Jomtien office and Koh Samui office will only let you apply when you have about 1 week left.
