Was planning to go somewhere next week. As Cambodia has already cut off, I feel like vietnam is the same as they have listed 8tj of October. Doesn’t mention 4th as cutoff for walkins but maybe

So laos is switching to evisa? I can’t see it anywhere… What about Jakarta?
Stephen ********
Hey mate, am reading online they will switch to evisa from the 8th of October. Do you know if we can apply in person until then? As Cambodia stopped in person from the 4th of October.
Stephen ********
Anonymous participant thanks, do you know if this is the same in vietnam?
Stephen ********
what do you mean by ‘evisa’? meaning they only then accept locals? do you know if that is all embassys?
Stephen ********
Why are you trying to make everyone so afraid to apply? Are you that miserable and you want everyone else be the same? Like try a bit of positivity mate and look for solutions and answers. Not just problems.

I agree, but I wouldn’t take the posts in here too seriously. I’m noticing even people who got the visa don’t quite understand why they asked for what they asked for.

They ask for bank statements to prove you’re actually a remote worker or business owner not to prove you always had the the 500k deposit as an example.

Plus there is other avenues like the muay thai option which has a $10kUSD and no remote work requirement.

You can go outside and apply in person, you can only apply online for your own country, so would need to go home. I’m considering jakarta, hanoi (have been told it’s difficult, but want to visit) or vientiane.
