So I checked my airline on this. I'm booked with AirAsia. And apparently I did a non refundable. So I cannot cancel as I would not receive any refund. And there wasn't even options to receive credit either. It looks like I can change the ticket, but with change fee added on it's gonna be like 2200 extra. I was looking at bus tickets for the return to Thailand and can probably get a bus ticket for around 700. So I'm wondering in this case, maybe it's better just to miss the return flight (as in, just not show up) and book the bus ticket when I need it? Is there any problem with this scenario with regards to the DTV? Cuz I think I read something about we need to enter our return details in the application. If I put my returning flight in the application but actually return by land, is that still ok?
After reading some of the comments here, I'm wondering if I can just cancel my return flight back to Thailand and receive a refund and then use that money to book a bus ticket when I'm there as I'm sure bus reservations are more flexible and can also book last minute?
I'm not even going till later in April. Arrival Cambodia April 27. But it's Cambodia. Thai New Year is in Thailand. Will embassies in Cambodia still be closed the whole week? If they are, I expect probably a huge backlog of applications.
I just realized that one of my banks I was going to submit statements for has my name listed as "Joe", but on all other documents including my passport it has my name as "Joseph". Is this going to be a problem?
Hmm... So I'm hearing most of you say it MUST be done in person. But looks like only one person here has had personal experience of ONLY doing it online. Does anyone know what the TRUE and ACCURATE answer is?
