The 500k BHT is the only amount stipulated. There is no amount for annual income.

For the ED you need to cancel it by visiting an immigration office in Thailand

 yep I was, and in 5 more years I'll be 50 so will be getting the retirement visa next, have that for 3 years then apply for citizenship

I doubt this is true as the elite is just about money. I have known a lot of ED holders getting the elite.

I had the elite 20 years ago when it expired last year I then got the DTV.

 yeah yesterday I went to visit TRUE to have my middle name added as I had a message from the bank that it didn't match my passport. Never a dull day in Thailand always a hoop to jump through.

I would wait a month or two and let the dust settle on the clamp down on scam accounts. The agents I would avoid using as they will up the prices now if you can find one.
