what is the reason you can't open bank acct with nonO visa? Is there anything missing? Lease agreement, residency cert, immigration letter...cos I have open a acct with SCB with just nonO and thai driving licence recently

@Dan ****
once it's approved the Visa will have a validity of 90days...u need to travel to thailand within that period but your 90days of stay will only start when u reach thailand

You are staying at your friend's place just put that address

Dan Gan choose the non 0 immigrant (retirement) visa....it will be a single entry for 90days use your home bank statement equivalent to 800k to apply...if u get requirements for a life insurance means it's the wrong visa (non OA) the non O doesn't need life insurance....after you get that visa (nonO) fly to thailand and open a bank acct with it and seasoned your funds for 2mths for the 1yr extensions

You don't need insurance for a non O retirement visa.....after u arrived in thailand u can shop for one

Well it all depends whether it's worth the hassle of doing it yourself....applying a visa for yoursel to stay in thailand is much more easy than applying for a visa for your wife to stay in Australia
