How do I successfully apply for a TrueMoney wallet in Thailand?

There has been a few posts regarding TrueMoney wallet app/service. Here is my positive experience. I already have been using it with a family members ID, so I decided to apply for my own. Firstly you apply through the app. They allow you to apply for the basic level. It was simple Passport BIO. Face ID, phone no and your details. It took 24 hours and I got a sms saying I had been accepted.

You can then apply for the advanced level. You now are asked for work permit (I put retired) Non O visa ext stamp. Yellow book, or pink card or Thai driving licence. I think its only one of these but as soon as i put my yellow book in it said we will review your documents blaa blaa, 24 hours it was approved

I only use this app for 7/11 because I have bank accounts (not frozen at the mo) debit and credit cards. So this is to avoid all the Thai coins you end up with. So cant say about the other facilities.

Also I found a FB TrueMoney account and messaged them. They were really quick and answered my questions.

I heard a few 7-Elevens around Phuket now accept prompt pay. I rarely go to 7-Eleven because most of them don't accept it. It seems really weird to me that they don't accept it, anybody know the reason? I just go next door to Lotus or Supercheap and spend my money there.

I've tried doing the true money wallet but it never works for me scanning the passport.

I pay everything with truemoney. Shop, night market , restaurant and even street food. Everybody merchant/vendor has prompt pay here and true money can scan prompt pay QR code . The only one who refused was a non thaï

Yes, the banking regulations have put a 50kthb transaction limit on line transactions. It came in in Junish, affects all banks

 the camera does not open to scan the passport when selecting foreigner when trying to register. It works perfectly if you select Thai ID.

 funny enough in the x years I've had it, its one of the first times its been useful. But with the bank changes it may well be needed. BTW I only used the book because it was first on the menu. I could have used my pink card or driving licence.

same - I’ve taken pics of my Thai drivers license several times and they reply with it can’t be read, even though it’s crystal clear. Gave up since there’s no real benefit for me yet.

try both the chatbot on their website and calling the center.
