wow, imagine a Thai Bank actually freezing an account for a legitimate reason. 😮

I have not been able to receive any funds from wize to my krungsri account for almost 6 months now.

When visiting the bank, all they told me that wize payments are all blocked (not just my account), instruction from head office.

Contacting wize only resulted in wize requesting all kinds of documents and absolutely no change from krungsri, no matter what documents are produced.

Anyway like everyone else I've just emptied my account, after a decade of use, and I'll be moving on with my life using bank my accounts from other countries.

You might not want to see old foreigners spending their last days on Thailand, but the Thai economy has projections based on the assumption that these people will still come here.

Same like shooting in the foot over tourism.

You want only the top 10% rich retirees and tourists in your country? But you provide a 3rd world, very low budget, unprofessional and disorganized experience, full of cheap prostituses everywhere you go in public.

The latter will never appeal to the former. Never. It's a crazy pipe dream Thailand is fantasizing about.

Acting on it will only make things worse for Thailand.

If you offer trash, expect trash. Don't cry.
