How soon after getting an in country 90 day non O visa can I apply for a one year retirement visa?

I ask because i need one more month up til may. (Non O will give me that). I wish to return next year (retired). My hope is to be able to convert/exchange the O for 12 month retirement before leaving for a few months in may together with a re entry permit so i,m good to go on my return.

Thanks.

ED visa help: I just talked to Prolanguage Pattaya and they said one the 9 month ED visa expires, you would have to exit TH or apply for a different visa. Is this true? There is no way to continue with the ED visa without exiting?

Can I enter Thailand on a visa exemption stamp and then change it to a retirement visa in Chiang Mai? Also, are they still allowing the financial combination method to be used?

Paul Bush posted in another thread;

I had a one year extension in Thailand for my non o visa based on retirement from the UK. I lost it because I left Thailand without a re entry stamp. Now I'm here on a 30 day visa exempt entry.

I would like to get an non o visa in Savannakhet and later get an extension for one year in Thailand based on retirement.

What will be the procedure in Savannakhet and what are the requirements.

I have a bankbook from a Thai bank no return ticket and I have a U K passport. Thanks
