Anyone here have experience with VISA medical coverage requirments and TriCare?

Hello, I just arrived on 60 day Tr visa which was stamped in my passport . I also applied for the OA visa which was approved by the Thai Consular in United States after arriving in Thailand. Do I need to leave Thailand by plane and come back thru Suvarnabhumi Airport for the OA visa to be stamped in my passport. I also have the medical insurance in case they ask for this. What would be the cheapest way to do this? Fly to Cambodia. Thank you..

Hi guys, I want to get a retirement visa. I am currently in Ireland ,so it would be UK embassy in London, if I apply from here. I have return flight to Thailand for 60 days (changeable) on 15 October. Would it be better to apply for visa from here or come to Thailand and apply in Chiang Mai? Is there a medical Insurance requirement? - I was going to get holiday insurance for a few months and then look for something long term. I have funds. Grateful for any advice

Hi everybody. I so much appreciate any advice you can provide.

I’m possibly interested in getting the Visa O (retirement). It is my understanding I do not need proof of medical insurance as some other visa types require the certificate. Maybe I’m wrong, not absolutely sure.

I got this from the royal thai consulate in L.A: NON – O ” Retirement USD 80.- 3 months USD 200.- 1 year

Does this mean first 3 month permitted will cost me U$80?

Subsequent 3 months will cost U$200? Or is the U$200 for rest of year (9 months). I hope this is not confusing.

I’m a US passport holder above 50yrs with enough proof of income. I will have proof of address of hotel if I don’t get the letter of invitation.

I intend to make my decision of Long Term stay once in Thailand after my first year of experience. I will eventually get medical insurance coverage once there (if allowed under NON -O), and be able to shop around with free will for coverage.

What am I missing here? Or what is inaccurate above?

Hi...about to apply for Retirement Visa. Arrived a week ago on 30 day visa exemption. Over 50, 800k in thai bank for over 3 months, lease signed, do i also need 3m baht of medical cover ? Need to show that insurance ? How long it needs to be valid for ? Anything else needed ? Thank you.

Now in TH. Can I stay longer than the dates the insurance covered for?

Or in other words can I stay longer than I put in the Tpass application? By the time I exit, will they mind this? since by July nobody will care about insurance and all anymore.

OA retirement visa questions. 1) As part of the OA application process and showing funds ie option of 800,000 thb in home country bank acc - any minimum period oh how long those funds must have been in account for? 2) am I correct in saying that after 1 year in Thailand then the OA is actually extended to an O visa 3) but this extn still will require med ins as came in on an OA? 4) And if still require med ins then (proof of) that cover should show for the full period of the 1 year extension? I am an American applying for a non immigrant O Evisa and they are asking for $100,000 dollar medical insurance. Can anyone tell me if the $50,000 Thai pass insurance be sufficient or is it 2 separate things? I have tried to contact the Thai Consulate many time with no luck. Any insight or help will be appreciated.

Is the medical requirements the same for non O and non OA meaning.....when you extend your O visa to 1 year must medical cover be same as for OA
