LONG TERM RESIDENT (LTR) VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
I will be applying for the LTR WP soon and am curious about insurance requirements. I have three options. I can use VA Foreign Medical Program. Super easy to get paperwork. I can use CHAMP VA ins, a bit more difficult to get paperwork, but doable. Additionally, my Thai wife is a retired Thai government employee, and I can obtain her insurance. Which would be most prudent?

LTR WP visa: Okay, has anyone encountered this before? My wife (dependent) has now been endorsed by relevant government agencies. Great news, except I (main applicant) have not yet been endorsed. Of note, she is a different screen number, so I assume a different officer. For anyone that will tell me to contact BOI, I have already done so and responses have been useless or nonexistent. Anyone else had this happen?
LTR WP visa - health insurance: we applied one week after annual insurance renewal and it has now been about five weeks, so in two weeks we will have only 10 months remaining on our insurance. If we don't get the visa within two weeks, will we somehow need to extend our insurance coverage to hit 10 months again? This would be difficult as it's international insurance with annual premium. We were planning to do the e-visa through our embassy (Manila), but if they are slow perhaps doing it in Thailand would be better? Any comments from LTR holders with insurance (not money in bank) would be helpful. I have found BOI responsiveness not as good as advertised here.
