I will be applying for the LTR WP soon and am curious about insurance requirements. I have three options. I can use VA Foreign Medical Program. Super easy to get paperwork. I can use CHAMP VA ins, a bit more difficult to get paperwork, but doable. Additionally, my Thai wife is a retired Thai government employee, and I can obtain her insurance. Which would be most prudent?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about insurance options for applying for the Long Term Resident Work Permit (LTR WP) in Thailand. They mentioned three potential insurance options: the VA Foreign Medical Program, CHAMP VA insurance, and insurance provided by their Thai wife, a retired government employee. Comments suggest prioritizing ease of obtaining paperwork and adhering to BOI requirements, with a recommendation to specifically consider the Thai wife's SSO health coverage as a straightforward option.
LONG TERM RESIDENT (LTR) VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Why don't you use your Thai wife's SSO health coverage with your name specifically listed??? it's the easiest and probably most straightforward way to show evidence of coverage
Use whichever is easiest for you to get that meets the BOI requirements. You're not required to use that insurance if something happens, it's just a visa requirement.
