Hello everyone .. the owner of the condominium where I always stay for about 3 months every year, will make me a "letter of guarantee" ... it can be useful to me at the bkk migration office to obtain a visa longer than the one normal tourist visa that I have? and also to open a bank account? I would appreciate any information or advice that you can give me to be able to obtain a visa without many complications, thank you very much in advance.

I am American, currently in the USA applying for a new O-A Retirement visa.

On the visa application, it says "In the case of submitting a bank statement, a letter of guarantee from the bank (an original copy) is required".

Does anyone know what this is?

Hi,

I am in the process of getting documents prepared for a Tourist Visa in Kota Bharu. One document/"thing" i am not sure about is a "letter of guarantee". What is letter of guarantee? I didnt see where it was specific in from who or what. Is this something issued regarding my bank (Kasikorn) or is it something to do with rental agreement as well. I have never heard of a "letter of guarantee" from a rental place...but i wanted to make sure i am well prepared for all scenarios. Thanks

According to the New York City Thai Consulate website, one of the document requirements for an O-A long-stay Visa are... "An original bank statement showing deposit amount equal to and no less than 800,000 Thai baht and an original letter of guarantee from the bank". I've not heard of a "letter of guarantee" from a bank regarding a savings deposit account. Can anyone share any experience with this?

Hello trying to decipher the meaning of

"A copy of bank statement in the past 6 months showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 800,000 Baht or an income certificate (an original copy) with a monthly income of not less than 65,000 Baht, or a deposit account plus a monthly income totalling not less than 800,000 Baht, in the case of submitting a bank statement, a letter of guarantee from the bank (an original copy) is required."

What is a letter of guarantee?

I have an unsigned on stamped letter from my US bank indicating the current amounts and average balances for the past 12 months. is this sufficient?

They also ask for "notarized copy" is this simply a copy of the original notarized that is is an east copy?

Thanks
