TLDR : Answer Summary
The user needs to renew their one-year extension for a retired non-immigrant visa before June 7th, with no grace period available. They are currently in Pattaya but need to handle their application in Ko Samui, where they are registered. Important considerations include needing a bank letter of guarantee, applying for extension at the correct immigration office, and the effects of an upcoming holiday.

you should hurry up. You need the bank letter of guarantee from the branch where you hold an account, you need to apply for the extension at the Immigration where you have registered your residence under the TM30. This seems to be on Ko Samui , and NOT in Pattaya, as far as I understand your post. You are staying in the wrong spot right now! You can only apply for the extension in Pattaya (Jomtien Immigration) if you change your place of residence to a Pattaya address and file a new TM30 ASAP. And Good Luck in getting the Bank letter (guarantee over 2 months of 800K) at a Pattaya branch

In short you must do your extensions and 90 day report at the office where you got your extension or if you have moved and filed new TM30 and TM28 then you can file at your new office according to your new residence address.

Can we go and renew it in Pattaya? Will it be necessary to come back every 90 days?

you can do your Samui 90 day report online or by mail from Pattaya. I'm not sure if after you get a new extension you must do your first report in person before you can do the following ones online. Keep in mind the online system is unreliable and prone to glitches.

With the covid, we thought it was better to stay in Pattaya and not travel too much ... Not all that easy ...

you can apply for your yearly extension in Pattaya if you submit address (TM30, TM28 maybe - , not sure Pattaya requires). And also you need to provide all required documents. Some bank letters & documents, etc. At some immigration office, you may need to show a long-term contract or other documents of your accommodation, too. Check Pattaya immigration for their requirements first - as soon as possible.
